One of the major challenges facing organizations is the rising rates of depression and anxiety, which can adversely impact workplace culture and work productivity. Kent State University combined diverse mental health programming and turnkey resources from Right Direction to generate high employee engagement and marked increases in outpatient medical utilization and greater prescription drug utilization for mental health conditions. These findings were subsequently published in the high-impact peer-reviewed scientific journal Frontiers in Psychiatry. This townhall will feature an in-depth discussion of how Kent State University built a mentally-healthy work culture with actionable strategies surrounding employee communication, selection of mental health programming, and other lessons learned.
